the sea was rough and Jon did a great job of maneuvering the boat.  We caught rock fish as early season for fishing.  Jon tailored the trip to our preferences including crap traps, eagle sightings, touring around the islands and fishing.  Jon is friendly and can talk on any subject. he also can clean fish in under 60 seconds.  Coming back in June and we booked Jon on his boat Prime Time again.

Can’t recommend highly enough. Jon is fantastic for both beginners and experts. Knows the secret fishing spots and the wildlife (he can also take you on a non-fishing wildlife tour with amazing tricks like knowing where to spot eagles). He is also an interesting person to talk to. Great, very comfortable boat. We were worried about seasickness and he was extremely accommodating to start off in the sound and then the open ocean. We booked a 6 hour charter with Captain John. Got to learn and see a lot of techniques that are used in catching salmon, halibut and other species. Went home with Copper Rockfish to cap off the great trip!
