Captain Matthew grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and started off freshwater fishing. After graduating from UNC Greensboro, he moved to Myrtle Beach. He's worked as the manager of the Murrells Inlet Outpost for several years and then as a full-time mate. Captain Matthew got hooked on saltwater fishing after seeing the offshore opportunities that Myrtle Beach had to offer.
Techniques
The captain basically enjoys all styles of fishing, including live bait trolling, dead bait trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, anything that is productive. His favorite two types of fishing would have to be trolling dead ballyhoo for Wahoo and live bait Grouper fishing.
