Your boat for the day is a 32’ Boston Whaler center console that can sit up to 6 anglers. Thanks to its twin 300 HP Suzuki engines, you’ll reach the fishing spots in no time. Along with comprehensive navigation electronics, the boat is equipped with a full bathroom, autopilot, radar, Livewell, and much more. It also features a multimedia system, as well as an ice-box.
The wide variety of species you can chase on your trip includes Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, Wahoo, Grouper, Amberjack, Cobia, and more. Using heavy tackle, you’ll attract fish by bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, and popping. Feel free to keep the fish you catch, as well as bring kids on your trip.

Captain Matt was an awesome guy to fish with! he was very communicative from the beginning of our trip we had some weather delays but he was still adamant about getting us out on the water! Matts very well versed in his fish species and knowledge if youre not catching them within a few drops hes moving you to a spot that will. we caught a handful of different species and i would definitely charter with matt again if we come back to SC! this was the highlight of my wife and i’s honeymoon thanks again!!!

We booked a 6 hour AM trip with Matt. This got us out in the ocean 35 miles where we hoped to catch some bigger fish. Matt didn’t disappoint. We had 14-16” snapper and grouper in the boat within minutes of setting up to fish. They we out of season so we didnt get to keep those but we also caught trigger fish and other species which we did get to keep. When the bite slowed we moved around to get on fish again. Largest fish of the day was a really nice grouper that was over 20”. His larger 32’ boat was nice to ride in and handled the conditions great. It was an 1.5 hour boat ride where we got to lounge in bean bags and enjoyed the ride. I think we all fell asleep on the ride in/out at some point. Feel confident going with the Reel Myrtle Beach Fishing Charter.

Capt. Matt gave my family and I an excellent experience. Great skills and in depth knowledge of area and the different species that are part of this fishing grounds. Landed an amazing Red Snapper for the last fish of the day.

Captain Matthew grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and started off freshwater fishing. After graduating from UNC Greensboro, he moved to Myrtle Beach. He's worked as the manager of the Murrells Inlet Outpost for several years and then as a full-time mate. Captain Matthew got hooked on saltwater fishing after seeing the offshore opportunities that Myrtle Beach had to offer.
