Captain Scott Brown says hello! He's been plying the East Coast since he was a baby. From Key West to New York, and in between – including the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas and especially Jupiter, Fl. The captain's marine career has spanned 6 decades. Many captains have given him credit for helping to spawn their careers as well. Capt. Scott started working in Stone Harbor professionally in 1973 aboard the 73' party boat 'Capt. Cramer'. However, he rapidly graduated to sport fishing aboard the 'Bounty Hunter' under the legendary auspices of Captain Ronald Lane (also sailing from Stone Harbor). Over the years, one philosophy has dominated Captain Scott's consciousness. His love for the ocean and its amazing soothing and healing powers. He's found the expanses of the ocean spiritual and he often refers to it as his church. Captain Scott welcomes you to join him on the Rising Tide. He always has a great time out on the water, and he bets you will too.

1/2 Day Inshore Troll Avalon NJ • 6 adults • 2 childrenIf you’re looking for a captain who knows where the fish are and knows how to make you laugh, Captain Scott is your guy! We caught an incredible 60-pound bluefin tuna within the first hour, and the rest of the trip was just as awesome. Captain Scott kept everyone entertained with joke after joke, had the kids smiling the whole time, let them get involved, and made the day feel more like hanging out with a friend than booking a charter. We spent hours trolling, even got to jump in for a swim, and when it was all over, Captain Scott filleted our tuna so we could take it home and enjoy the freshest fish imaginable. Captain Scott and his first mate even gave me pointers on how to cook it tonight for an amazing meal. Great fishing, great laughs, and great memories. If you’re thinking about booking with Captain Scott, stop thinking and just do it—you won’t regret it!

1/2 Day Inshore Troll Avalon NJ • 6 adults • 2 childrenWe had a great time! Captain Scott and first mate Mark were wonderful even with 2 people that have NEVER been out on the ocean. Trip out was quick and we started catching fish almost right away. At some points in the trip, all four of us were reeling in fish at the same time!! Both the captain and mate jumped right in to help us all land our fish. We caught more than enough for a delicious dinner. Highly recommend the 1/2day inshore troll for first timers! (we did the 8am-12pm) We will definitely book with them again when we are in the area!

1/2 Day Back Bay Avalon NJ - 8:00 AM • 2 adultsMy wife and I had a great time! Fish weren’t biting a lot, I lost three, one of which was a monster! Did not land any of the three (my fault!). First Mate Mark hooked a flounder that my wife landed, meaning she skunked me! This is second fishing trip in the inner bay that Captain Scott took us on and it will not be the last. Mark and Captain Scott very very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, both fishing and area background. We are very happy with that trip.

Once the fish were found, they helped make dreams come true for two of my sons by helping to bring in 2 bluefin tuna in a 4 hour trip! Truly a priceless experience. Would absolutely book again, but for longer trip next time! Thank you for helping my family create lifelong memories.

1/2 Day Back Bay Avalon NJ - 8:00 AM • 3 adults • 1 childScott and Mark were friendly and helpful. They were particularly kind to my five year old son, who was entertained for the entire four hour trip. we caught shark, sea bass and flounder -- though overall the fish weren't really biting. Scott helped fillet the one keeper we had -- a flounder which cooked up beautifully later. highly recommended!
