Fished with Alex yesterday and had an incredible trip. We limited out on trout early and released several more before switching things up to target reds—ended up boating a beautiful oversized redfish to top it off. The day started with a heads-up text from Alex about an incoming storm, but instead of canceling, he waited it out for over four hours to make sure we still got on the water. It paid off big time.

My son, brother, and I had the pleasure of spending the day with Alexander (Zander) on his rig Sat, Apr 19, 2025. Everything at meet-up was on time and we’ll planned.  The only hiccup was a lack of live shrimp because recent high winds in the area for the past couple days.  That did not detract from from the fishing trip at all.  Zander had back up and we caught fish…big fish.  Black drum were plentiful and despite being picky biters, we managed some keeper Speckled Trout as well. Zander was well informed on fish location, was a big help with everything on board, and a great conversationalist. I know it is not easy, and your patience with both my children and I was greatly appreciated. I reached out to Captain Alex kinda last minute to book a 5 hour trip. Next day we were out in the bay fishing. Our first several spots at the beginning were slow, but it’s a luxury to have a Captain that is passionate about his job and who is not a clock watcher. We were not catching anything but his determination and drive led us to a spot where our luck changed. His words, “we are going to catch some fish today or we are going to die trying!’. That’s all my son and I needed to hear! Then it was fish on! We ended our trip with some beautiful trout and reds. Captain A has a good way of communicating with the kids and giving them advice. We ended our day feeling accomplished and grateful thanks to Captain Alex. I highly recommend booking your next trip with him. 5 stars!

Alex did a great job of getting us on the trout first thing in the morning. It was our (myself & my 8 year old son) first guided trip. We fish locally all around from shore and wanted to head out on the flats to see what we could catch. Alex took some time showing my son how to work a live croaker in the grass. We ended up with a limit of trout and one drum. My son first caught his Speckled Troup PB of 23” in the first 20 minutes of fishing, and then caught a 25.5” 4lb Speck as the last fish of the trip.
Alex’s boat is comfortable and has ample room to fish. Alex took care of all the bait we needed, and his tackle is simple, straightforward, and worked perfectly.
