Growing up fishing with my dad I developed a passion and love for the sport. As a teenager in high school, my dream job was to be a deckhand on a charter boat. In my first year of high school, I met my future wife, a fisherman's blessing! You see, her dad is the owner and captain of one of the oldest and most well-known charter boats in Biloxi – the Miss Hospitality Charters. Long story short, I fell for the girl and got my dream job working for one of the greatest captains on the coast. I had the best teacher, Capt. Kenny, teach me how to run a charter business. I saved my money and after graduating high school, I went to Captain's school and got my 100-ton captain's license. I was 18 at the time, the youngest captain on the coast. In 1995, I bought The Shearwater, and here we are 23 years later. Doing what I love, loving what I do! Teaching my boys the business. My oldest son is my deckhand and my youngest son helps out on my father in law's boat! It's definitely a family business.

    Awesome Fishing and Comfortable Boat!

    10 Hour Trip – Snapper2 adults

My wife and I had a trip planned to Biloxi and decided to do a fishing trip while we were there. We booked Shearwater because of the great reviews and the large red snapper they catch. Capt Brandon did not disappoint! We quickly caught our limit of nice red snapper and finished off the day with some really big redfish. Capt Brandon and First Mate PJ were really nice people and went out of their way to make our day memorable. The boat was very comfortable and had a cold AC in the cabin which made the hot day more enjoyable. Will definitely fish with them again!

    A true fishing experience!

    6 Hour Trip - 1:30 PM6 adults

We did a two day trip with them. Always remember this is a fishing trip not a catching trip. The captain and first main went way out of there way to get us fish but it was a bit windy. We caught fish but nothing too big, but the experience was awesome. The 2nd day the winds calmed down, and the fishing was a bit slow but it really picked up and caught a lot of great fish!! So if you want a true fishing experience this is the one for you!! Again thanks guys! If we wouldn’t have caught fish we knew we were on the right boat to make our chances the best we could expect!!

    Awesome fishing trip!

    4 1/2 Hour Trip5 adults

The trip was absolutely awesome! The captain and his deckhand went over and above on everything. It rained on us a good part of the time, and they continued to try to put us where the fish were. All 5 of us in our group caught fish, 2 of those being sharks! Would definitely book them again, and will be referring others to them.

    An awesome experience.

    4 1/2 Hour Trip6 adults

The trip exceeded my expectations. The Captain and mate, Paul, rescued an Osprey in distress in the water! Lagniappe. It wa a fun day with family. None of us being experienced anglers needed a lot of help and all had questions. Paul was patient. helpful, and a good sport with the comedians in our group. Only wish I thought to mention that one of us is a leftie. I doubt it would have made a difference, anyway. Thank you to Captain Brandon and Mate, again.

Had an amazing time, the best trip ever!

    6 Hour Trip - 1:30 PM3 adults

My buddies and I came down from Atlanta to do a fishing charter with Shearwater Charters. It was an experience of a lifetime and it was nothing short of amazing! Captain Brandon and his deckhand was awesome. They kept us on top of the fish and made sure all the equipment was setup for us to succeed in catching plenty of fish! I would highly recommend Shearwater Charters if you are planning a fishing charter in the Biloxi area!

Half-Day Tag: 100+ lb Bull Shark

Sep 5, 2026 • Biloxi
Our customers wanted to catch a big shark, so thats what we targetted this morning on a half day charter. Not long after we departed the Marina, we saw a massive school of big fish churning the water to a froth!! We wete able to get out some trolling rods and quickly hooked a jumbo jack crevalle upwards of 20 pounds, but the other two fish hooked were much larger. The first was a nice blacktip around 50 pounds. After landing that fish we focused on the last one coming in. The customers got very excited when we realized this was a large bull shark well over 100 pounds! My deckhand and i disbatched the shark amd iced both fish. Mission accomplished! One of the keys to a great fishing charter is communication between the crew and client s as to what fish they would live to target, then developing a plan to make that happen. We still have some bookings available if you would like to get in on this excellent late season bite. The cobia should be getting fired up around the islands various wrecks amd buoys this month as weather patterns cool. Tripletail fishing also remains very good for another month or so. Give us a call and see if we can get you on your bucket list catch!

Limit of Red Snapper and Bull Reds

Aug 28, 2026 • Biloxi
Today was another great day of fishing abiurd the Shearwater! The snapper grounds greeted us with calm seas and crystal clear water. We had our limit of beautiful red snapper bu 10 am! On our way home we spotted some birds and baitfish and decided to put out some trolling lines. I never got the entire trolling spread out due to fish hammering baits as soon as i dropped them back. A giant school of bull reds followed us for 15 minutes eating everything we threw at them. We quickly boxes our limit of reds with some bonus jack crevalle and a 60 pound blacktip shark. It was around noon and we didnt have any room ledt in the cooler. We called it a day and enjoyed a beautiful ride home. Give us a call to get on the books!

Fishing on fire fire

We run out and catch our red snapper first then hit some tanker ships and catch a limit on cobia and then stop on the way in and finish the trip off catching redfish. this has been our norm.
