Our family of four absolutely enjoyed our early July outing with Captain Jack, owner of Bell 8 Charters. Jack provided really good bait and we caught several fish, which was very exciting as it was our first fishing trip. Jack was very safety conscious, gave fantastic tips and advice, and took us to some some beautiful spots and marinas along the coast and rivers. He also did an excellent job fileting our fish for us back at the marina. (Our son cooked them up for dinner that night!) Jack is a skilled captain and fisherman and is a wonderful person to spend time with. We cannot thank him enough for the great experience. We highly recommend fishing and boating with him and will definitely book with him again!

This was a perfect trip! I took my 2 teenage nephews and my nine year old son. Captain Jack’s attention to safety, patience, and knowledge of the area was amazing! We started out in Long Island Sound where we caught quite a few sand sharks, porgie, and a few other fish. After that we moved in to the Connecticut River where all 4 of us caught a large striped bass in the span of an hour and a half.

I highly recommend Captain Jack and Bell8 charters especially if you have younger or novice fishers.

If you are looking for a fun filled day of fishing and boating, Captain Jack is your man.  My wife, my 7 year old son and myself booked a half day trip will Bell 8 Charters and had the time of our lives.  We caught tons of fish including a sand shark which absolutely made my day.  Captain Jack’s attention to safety and his knowledge of the sea were absolutely impeccable.  My 7 year old was catching fish left and right including the most beautiful Black Sea bass that I have ever seen.  Captain Jack was able to carve off 2 huge fillets for us to take home and eat.  We could not have asked for a better day or a better Captain.  He even let both my son and myself drive the boat while my wife got to relax.  We had so much fun, we are looking to meet up again before the season ends.  I highly recommend Captain Jack and Bell 8 Charters for all levels of fishing.  I promise, you will not be disappointed.

Captain found us a nice spot to do some successful bottom fishing. We had a great time and enjoyed some good company. We will book another trip soon.

You can tell right from the start captain jack cares about having you enjoy you’re time on his boat. From the moment I booked until til we were heading in for the day he asked to make sure we were happy with everything with out rushing to finish the day. Was a great time looking to go again later this summer.
