Captain Jason Robinson is a South Florida native with a lifetime of fishing experience both inshore and offshore. Growing up in the Miami area gave Jason the opportunity to fish for everything, from Tarpon in the bay to Billfish on the edge. The passion and love he has for fishing shows from the second you step on board. In the last 6 years he has competed, placed, and won several world renowned tournaments. Capt. Jason has been featured on multiple fishing television shows including 'Bass2Billfish' with Peter Miller. He also has knowledge fishing all over the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Half Day Trip (Back for lunch)Captain Jason was great as usual. This was my third trip with Cool Running, and this time I brought my 3 daughters with me. They love to go fishing, but this was their first time saltwater fishing. Within the first 10-15mins trolling they brought in their first King. Then we had some good action after that bottom fishing. This trip was a success, and the girls had a blast. I will definitely be back with the kids again.

6 Hour Trip (Live bait included)We had a fantastic time on the water with Captain Jason. He was super knowledgeable, polite, accommodating and flexible all while making sure we were catching tons of fish the whole time! We had a great time and would recommend a trip on the water with Captain Jason to anyone interested.

6 Hour Trip (Live bait included)Let me start off by mentioning how personable Captain Jason is! He is extremely well versed as a Captain and an angler. The boat is recently refitted with new everything! It was a little choppy due to the wind, but the boat rode fine! We booked a quarter day to go kite fishing and Captain Jason (plus the fish Gods) delivered. We caught two sails and a little Mahi that went right back in. Furthermore, I believe this trip was outstanding because of Captain Jason's attentiveness and amazing teaching skills. We felt comfortable and safe at all times. 100000% recommend Captain Jason on the Cool Runnings! Definitely booking an ALL DAY trip next time, I can't wait to be back out there again.

2 Hour Trip – Fishing Intro • 3 adults • 2 childrenMy sons and I had so much fun! It was our first time offshore fishing and what an experience it was. Captain Jason was so knowledgeable and so good with my kids. They can't stop talking about it. My older son Adrian is already planning to go back out again in April when we're in town again. We can't wait!

Run & Gun (Live bait included) • 4 adultsHad a great time going looking for mahi, got on a lot they just happened to be below keeper for the majority. Got some other cool fish we got to keep like kingfish and jack. Captain is a cool guy, knows what he’s doing, and has a passion for his craft.

What's biting with Cool Runnings Sportfishing in Fort Lauderdale
Temperatures usually start to cool by the end of the month, inviting a greater number of surface fish. Sailfish might start showing up, with Kingifsh still being active over the reefs. Tarpon is great inshore.
