Our family had an awesome time fishing with Jake. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and engaging. He took the time to teach our daughters different fishing techniques, made sure we caught tons of fish, and then took us to a fun island to explore. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Took my son fishing for the 1st time Jake our Captain was extremely patient with us. Communicating with Jake was a breeze. Answered questions I had as well as communicated the conditions of the waters in case we needed to reschedule. We caught a lot of fish. If you looking for a fishing charter look no further.

Had a great experience taking my 6 year old catfishing with Captain Jake.  We caught 5-6 big catfish and probably 15-20 perch, never went more than 20 minutes without catching fish.  Captain Jake was very knowledgeable about the area, fish feeding patterns and has a great boat and equipment.

Jake’s guided fishing tour far exceeded my expectations. I brought my 10 yr-old son and we had such a good time. I had a lot of questions about Lake Wylie, boating and fishing and he graciously took the time to answer them. My son caught two 15lb catfish which made his day. All in all just a great experience. I will be signing up for his Lake Norman tour soon. I highly recommend Captain Jake’s guided fishing tour. You won’t be disappointed.

Captain Jake was an incredibly friendly and gracious guide.  His boat is outfitted with all the bells and whistles - most importantly, Jake’s knowledge of the lake and clear “obsession’ with fishing.  We caught several catfish, perch, and crappie - and the day on the lake was one of the highlights of our time in Charlotte.  I highly recommend Captain Jake and we’ll certainly book again when we find ourselves in the area and a craving for catfish!
