Beginners and experienced fishermen alike will learn and benefit from Capt Kens knowledge of the local waters and proven techniques for catching fish. Depending on season/conditions you may be fishing Nueces Bay, Corpus Christi Bay, Upper Laguna Madre or Baffin Bay.
Techniques
Common fishing techniques include live shrimp under popping cork, free lining live croaker and sight casting with artificial lures. You will be fishing out of a top of the line 2022 Shoalwater 23 cat with all the bells and whistles, it is sure to be an enjoyable ride and provide ample fishing space for everyone aboard. All gear, bait, and bottled water will be provided. Just bring any specialty snacks/drinks you may want, saltwater fishing license and a cooler to take home the fillets in at the end of the trip. Children under the age of 13 are required to wear a life jacket at all time

The gusty and always changing seasonal winds have made fishing tough lately but we are working through it and still managing to put together good mixed boxes of fish. Live shrimp under popping cork is the ticket. Booking has been slow but its about to fire up and so is the fishing, dont miss out because the available dates are going to book up fast.

We took some time off during hunting season, now we are back at the fish. Conditions were tough for our first day back on the water but we stayed at it and managed to grind out a decent box of fish and a monster sheepshead that weighed 8.2 pounds. Also caught lots of undersized trout and redfish. Live shrimp and shrimp fish bites under popping cork were the best producers today.

We took a quick morning trip and put together a nice box of black drum plus 1 redfish. We also caught lots of just undersized black drum, redfish and trout. Unfortunately none of the bait shops in corpus had live shrimp today so we made lemonade out of lemons using fresh dead shrimp under popping corks. Note: this is only the second time this year where live shrimp wasnt available.

This time of year is perfect for catching a good mixed box of fish. Today we had nonstop trout action releasing over 20 other keeper trout. The last stop on the way in produced good black drum and redfish action as well. Live shrimp under popping cork is fire. This pattern will continue through January, dont miss out on the best fishing of the year.
