Phenomenal guide in Captain Diego and a fabulous time! I highly recommend him & his fishing trips!

In a little over 2 hours, we caught 7 fish, including 2 of the peacock bass that was my priority, as well as a good variety of other species.

Captain Diego is very fun and conversational and did a super job in putting me on fish and coaching me on technique, as well as giving me an option to also fish for a little while at the end at a special fishing lake which is fed from the Everglades.

Terrific experience and highly recommend it!

I came to Miami on vacation in November , and was looking to do some fishing.

I booked with Diego before I left. The night before he called me and very bluntly said the fishing on the boat had not been great and gave me the option of doing some bank fishing instead. I was a bit weary at first, because I can do plenty of bank fishing at home in Texas. But I decided to take his word for it and I agreed. That’s where it all started to go well.

I met him at a small market in the Western Suburbs and he picked me up in his small car, poles sticking out the front window. You know someone is a legit when their gear is worth almost as much as their car…
For the next 4 hours we proceeded to go from spot to incredible spot, sight fishing from the bank, and pulling out huge peacock bass, large mouth bass, Mayans, and sunfish in quick succession.

What made this experience so good is that Diego is extremely passionate about fishing, and loves seeing other people get into it. He confided that sometimes people are a little nervous at first, because he’s so direct, but every time, within about 20 min, people are sold. This is 100% true. I met this guy just that day, and by the end of it, I was laughing and having one of the best fishing experiences of my life.

Could not recommend Diego more, for any type of fishing. I will definitely fish with him again.

Great morning for my two sons and me with Captain Diego! He put us right on a fish within 2 minutes and kept us catching the whole time; lots of Peacocks and Mayan Cichlids. Finished strong with a huge one, too. Will definitely go with Stay Fishy again when we return to south Florida!

This fishing trip was amazing ! We all caught multiple fish . Our guide Diego was so knowledgeable, friendly and had the best personality! He made the trip so fun. He showed us different fish and other wildlife.  I really wasn’t expecting to have this much action. It was way more fun than deep sea fishing for me and my son. We stayed busy and active the whole trip , and we all wanted for it not to end.  Diego is a great guide to request too.

Weather was not on our side this trip, but Diego did everything he could to make it the best trip possible and put us on tarpon and peacocks. Knowledgeable, family friendly guide who can tailor trip to your needs. We had a blast and will definitely be back for future trips.
