First time we went fishing with 4 people and the Captain only put out 2 lines.  In the past there was always a line for every licensed fisherman.  We only caught 1 yellow tail. Yet all the conversations at the resort talked about bringing in 200 and over in total weight of yellowtail.  That is why they call it fishing I guess.  But it did not feel like we had the best interest of the captain at heart. He was not passionate like so many other trips we had booked in the past.

Rene is a very thoughtful owner, but the experience was disappointing - especially since it was my first time taking my 11 and 14 year old sons on a fishing charter.  Six hours, no bites, maybe two words from the captain. It was the weirdest experience in 35 years of fishing from Alaska to Mexico. We dragged lures for 3-4 hours with no effort to change lures or try live bait. We booked a full day. Had to disembark from a cruise ship that AM and return early afternoon so, our range was limited. There was tons of bait and fish/bird activity but, only a couple of hits. Andreas (Capt.) worked hard and the equipment was good, just not our day. Lunch was fresh & reasonable. Thanks Renee for making it a good day for us.
