Fishing all my life has equipped me with the expertise and skill required to guide others in the sport of fishing. Before I became a saltwater angler, I spent most of my free time fishing in Bass tournaments in the Southeast. I found my love for saltwater fishing during the countless trips my family spent visiting Amelia Island, FL. After my time in the military, I decided to turn my strongest passion into a business so that I can share my love for fishing with others, here in Amelia Island, FL. As your Captain, I promise to share my knowledge about the local waters and the species that inhabit them. My goal for each passenger of my boat is to not only catch fish, but to feel the thrill that comes moments after a fish bites. These are the special moments that I can still picture as a kid fishing for the first time. I look forward to sharing the joy of fishing with each and every one of you.

4 HR – Jetty/Backwater • 4 adultsCaptain Bennett is a gentleman thru and thru. First and foremost he respects his boat, clean and rigged to the hilt; secondly he is attentive to his party, their skill level and the need to put fish in the boat. That being said, we had to cut our trip short(we had caught a bunch of fish at a bunch of different locations including a 15-17pound Bonnett Shark…)due to 25-30mph sustained winds that were NOT forecasted before we left the dock. Captain Bennett made the call..”return to the dock for safety and obviously it had become unfishable..” Having prepaid for a longer trip, Captain offered we reset for another day and apply the remaining monies, which we gladly obliged. In closing, I highly recommend Captain Bennett and Liberty. You will not be disappointed👍😉🇺🇸

3 HR – Jetty/Backwater • 2 adultsBooked a charter with Liberty Sport Fishing out of Fernandina Beach, and it was the real deal—start to finish, best of the best. Boat was clean, dialed in, and ready to roll the second we stepped on. We started working the tidal marshes—tight water, technical fishing—before pushing out into the main channel of the St. Mary’s River. That’s where it all came together. Captain Bennett Harbor put us on an absolute stud black drum—fish of a lifetime. What sets this trip apart is the way Captain Harbor runs it. He’s not just driving the boat—he’s coaching every step of the way. Clear direction, no ego, just making sure you get it done right. You can tell he knows those waters inside and out. On top of that, the camaraderie made it even better—getting to share the experience with a fellow Marine veteran meant a lot. Add in quality time with my son, and it doesn’t get any better than that. If you’re looking for a no-BS, top-tier charter that puts you on fish and sharpens your skills, this is it. We’ll be back.

We caught north of 30 fish including redfish, mangrove snapper, seatrout, jack crevalle, ladyfish, a juvenile gag grouper, and a couple sharks. if the fish stop biting or don’t bite, he quickly moves you to another spot.

4 HR – Jetty/Backwater - 1:30 PM • 2 adultswe had a great trip, the captain is a five star guy. He put us on the fish , just had some missed opportunities. Hooked up on several good fish and just didnt get them in the boat. We still caught some fish , but the big ones got away at no fault to the captain. we will be back and ready for the action again. The boat and equipment are excellent, very clean and organized.
