The captain was very personable and his skills as an angler where evident. I would recommend Captain Rex to anyone looking to fish Saint Clair!

Wonderful Trip for kids and Friends 

Captain Rex (and first mate, Bob) were great.  He knew the spots to go to and did a good job of working with us novice fishermen.
We caught our limit plus a few throwbacks.  We will us TRex Charters again.

The captain Rex was a great guy and great with the grand son, he was definitely knowledgeable on the fish, Will definitely be back for another charter

Captain Rex wad very personable, on time, has a great boat and most importantly, he put us on the fishing! I will definitely fish with him again!

Great Fishing Trip in Detroit!

Fishing in January can be tough due to the weather, so be sure to check the forecast and plan accordingly. This month, you can expect to target Sturgeon on the Detroit River or Yellow Perch on Lake Erie.

Steelhead presents an excellent challenge for those looking to test their skills. You may also encounter some Pike and Musky on longer trips. Now is a good time to head down to Grosse Ile to target Yellow Perch as well.

Walleye fishing starts to pick up, especially around Peche Island and Belle Isle. Sturgeon fishing is also solid along other parts of the Detroit River. On Lake Erie, you can target Northern Pike and Yellow Perch.

Head up to Lake St. Clair and go after Walleye and Largemouth Bass. Other potential targets this month include Rainbow Trout, White Bass, Yellow Perch, and Northern Pike.

White Bass fishing starts to really heat up. Both Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair are on fire, so either option should produce some great results. Walleye and Pike fishing are also superb this time of year.

Summer is finally here! This means many fish will start migrating into Lake Erie, making it an angling paradise for all you Great Lakes fanatics. Frequent targets this month include Musky, White Bass, Yellow Perch, and Walleye.

Now is a good time to target Largemouth Bass on the Detroit River. On Lake Erie, you can even catch some Chinook, Atlantic, and Coho Salmon on longer trips. Other catches include Walleye, Musky, Yellow Perch, and White Bass.

Yellow Perch and Smallmouth Bass fishing are at their peak. Your best bet is to hop on a guide to take you to where the Smallmouth are hiding. They tend to favor the deeper waters to stay cool around this time of year.

September in Detroit is excellent for fishing. Musky, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Walleye, and Yellow Perch are some of the species you can expect to catch this month.

Musky fishing on Lake St. Clair is hot! According to locals, you can hook up to 20 a day. Pick a guide to take you to some of the most productive spots on the lake and get ready to put up a fight.

Target Walleye in shallow parts of the Detroit River or head to Lake Erie and catch Perch. If you're looking for a good option for a family fishing trip, head down to the Rogue River and target some small Trout.

This year for Christmas, why not plan a fun fishing trip on Lake Erie? You'll target Walleye, Perch, and Trout as you admire Detroit's beautiful skyline in the background.
