This trip was on a bucket list for our small group and was a last minute decision while on vacation. Captain was able to accommodate on a very short notice, prompt in messages and took us right to the grouper. He was able to provide left handed equipment for our party and deployed different tactics and locations so we had the greatest exposure to the fish habitat and opportunities.  It was a real wake up call on what it is like to fight a fish of that size. He is a great coach providing tips on technique and characteristics of the surrounding waters mixed with a little history of the area. We will be using him again and recommend you give it a try. He offers several options in daily trips with a variety of target fish and locations.

Conditions weren’t ideal with brisk winds and not too calm water. I thought fishing would be tough but Captain Steve moved around to several spots to find fish. Before leaving he asked what we had in mind; had several young boys and wanted them to see the most action possible…Captain Steve delivered. He had a ton of patience with the kids and helped us make some memories with the family. If we make it back to the area we will definitely look to book another trip with Captain Steve. Do not hesitate to book a trip with Captain Steve, he is friendly, great with the kids, and will do his best to put you on some fish!

Beginner level off shore fishing with my daughter and granddaughter on July 5th. Captain Stephen put us on fish right away. Assisted us when needed to keep lines in the water. Cleaned our catch, bagged and labeled. Recommended places that would also cook it up for us. Captain is very personable and easy going. I really liked the insulated bag he iced our fish in and wanted to get one, so he sent me the link.  Would highly recommend and can’t wait till we can go again. Great time!

Captain Stephen was the best captain we could have asked for! We’ve done a couple charters before and he has been the best so far. This was our first trip with him, and he had us catching fish the entire time and got us all the species we wanted, including Goliath grouper that alluded us the first couple charters. We’ll definitely be going with him in the future and if you get a chance to go out with him, do it, he’ll give you one hell of a trip to remember!

Booked with Captain Steve to try to catch a tarpon. Never tried to before this trip.

He took us right to a spot where we saw fish busting the surface immediately. Put out the bait and moved around to keep finding the fish. Eventually, one hit my rod and the fight was on.

After fighting for about an hour and ten minutes, we got the fish to the boat but I broke the rod and the fish took off! I was absolutely shot after the long fight. Fish estimated to be 180 lbs and about 6’ long. It was a tank that kept taking drag every time I got him to the surface. We didn’t get any clear pictures, unfortunately.

Captain Steve was great to fish with. He got us on the fish of a lifetime. Gave good instruction, nice boat, nice guy. Easy to work with and got our money’s worth. Great time.

Highly recommend Captain Steve’s charter and will book again if I get the opportunity to visit Florida again.
