My grandson and I enjoyed a great fishing experience on the Russian river thanks to Ron Doubler. We initially were booked for a drift boat trip on the Kenai river but Ron suggested we change to the Russian because the salmon were not yet present in large numbers. On a day that was NOT the best Capt. Ron showed us a great time. We saw beautiful scenery, eagles, and thousands of sockeye salmon. He adapted to changing weather conditions swiftly to put us on fish. We would book him again in a heartbeat! Missy and Paul

I fish around the world and dealt with with a lot of guides. He was one of the best. He took his time teaching my son how to fish and stayed as long as it was needed to get us fish. He spent two more hours than we signed up for to ensure that we were satisfied, I recommend for sure,

Ron was an incredible guide. He knows how to hook easy salmon and finds every riffle for dry fly trout fishing. He’s a fun dude to spend the day with. Just an incredible day on the river. My son and I will be back to fish with Ron again.

The guide was a pleasure to spend the day with.  His dry fly fishing was a departure from every other guide we saw on the river. But it not only was more exciting but was by far more productive than other guides on the river!
