We went out with Captain Andrew, the most Australian man you’ll ever meet. The day was one of the windiest days and the weather didn’t cooperate, but Andrew took us to many spots to give us a chance even though we were fighting the wind. The fish were definitely a little shy with the weather change, but we still managed to catch a few. We came out to the whitsundays for our honeymoon and this was a great way to see the islands and spend some time on the water. My wife came out and also had a great time! I would highly recommend going on a charter with the get out and about crew! Even if you don’t catch anything the captain and the scenery are great!

We left Airlie Beach and headed for a fishing spot 40 kilometers away. There were five of us, including the captain. The captain searched for suitable fishing spots and let us go fishing. He then warmly and enthusiastically helped us equip our gear and bait our lines. The captain was very helpful and chatty, offering us a lot of support and assistance. We were all very happy to catch a few fish, both large and small. I personally came here to experience sea fishing. It was a great experience. Although the cost was a bit high, it was a life-long experience. I hope to return next time.

Get out and about were perfect for exactly what my partner and I were looking for. Skipper Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and answered any of our questions, targeting exactly what we wanted to do throughout the 3/4 day charter. We caught fish nonstop and had plenty to take home. The 6 hour trip was our highlight of Airlie Beach, not only did we get to get out fishing but got so much value out of Andrew pointing out landmarks and speaking about the area. Such a top bloke. Great value for money and inclusive of all onboard. Would definitely recommend and return for another fishing trip.

I had the pleasure of spending the day on a fishing charter with Captain Andrew, and it was truly a memorable experience. From start to finish, his local knowledge and passion for fishing were evident, and he went above and beyond to ensure my 9-year-old son and I had the best time. 

Andrew put so much effort into helping us get on fish all day, patiently guiding my son and making sure we both had plenty of action and laughs along the way. He was fantastic company and so easy to get along with. 

This trip was not just about catching fish, it was about creating a special memory for my son and me and Andrew made that happen. If I were staying here longer, I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with him. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great fishing experience with someone who clearly loves what they do. We had an awesome 6 hour charter captain was excellent shame the fish didn’t want to play. We got a feed and we are happy. That’s why its called fishing and not catching but it was an excellent experience highly recommend it.
