Depending on conditions, you might hook into Cero Mackerel, Coral Trout, Flathead, African Pompano Jack, Black Marlin, Nannygai, Queenfish, Sailfish, Red Emperor Snapper, and whatever else is biting. You may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or something more specialized in this area. The fish caught are yours to take home, so long as they’re within the legal limit. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!
These shared trips are all about a family-friendly fishing experience. Whether you’re a family, a group of mates, or a single person, we will do our very best to make your time with us unforgettable. Being a small size boat, it is very easy to customize your time exactly how you want. Just let us know when you book, please. The captain will have snacks and drinks available on board.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 20’ Center console that can carry up to 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this, so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Every box ticked
Had a great day out with Andrew today! He asked me about my goals for the day: 1. Catch some different species. 2. Catch a good sized fish for a picture and to eat. 3. Hook into something big. Andrew brought me to different spots and on the fish. At the end of the day al boxes were ticked off. Caught quite a bit of different species, caught a nice size coral trout and got sharked by a big bull shark! Worth every dollar for the fishing and the good company by Andrew ;) Highly recommended!

A Great Time Fishing
We went out with Captain Andrew, the most Australian man you’ll ever meet. The day was one of the windiest days and the weather didn’t cooperate, but Andrew took us to many spots to give us a chance even though we were fighting the wind. The fish were definitely a little shy with the weather change, but we still managed to catch a few. We came out to the whitsundays for our honeymoon and this was a great way to see the islands and spend some time on the water. My wife came out and also had a great time! I would highly recommend going on a charter with the get out and about crew! Even if you don’t catch anything the captain and the scenery are great!

A fun fishing trip
We left Airlie Beach and headed for a fishing spot 40 kilometers away. There were five of us, including the captain. The captain searched for suitable fishing spots and let us go fishing. He then warmly and enthusiastically helped us equip our gear and bait our lines. The captain was very helpful and chatty, offering us a lot of support and assistance. We were all very happy to catch a few fish, both large and small. I personally came here to experience sea fishing. It was a great experience. Although the cost was a bit high, it was a life-long experience. I hope to return next time.

Awesome adventure.
Get out and about were perfect for exactly what my partner and I were looking for. Skipper Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and answered any of our questions, targeting exactly what we wanted to do throughout the 3/4 day charter. We caught fish nonstop and had plenty to take home. The 6 hour trip was our highlight of Airlie Beach, not only did we get to get out fishing but got so much value out of Andrew pointing out landmarks and speaking about the area. Such a top bloke. Great value for money and inclusive of all onboard. Would definitely recommend and return for another fishing trip.

A must do experience!
I had the pleasure of spending the day on a fishing charter with Captain Andrew, and it was truly a memorable experience. From start to finish, his local knowledge and passion for fishing were evident, and he went above and beyond to ensure my 9-year-old son and I had the best time. Andrew put so much effort into helping us get on fish all day, patiently guiding my son and making sure we both had plenty of action and laughs along the way. He was fantastic company and so easy to get along with. This trip was not just about catching fish, it was about creating a special memory for my son and me and Andrew made that happen. If I were staying here longer, I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with him. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great fishing experience with someone who clearly loves what they do. Thank you Andrew for such an unforgettable day!
