We are a group of 6 but 4 of us were fishing. The trip started on time with the introduction and safety messages. We were shown how to release the rigg into the water and explained how the system works. We caught enough to bring home and released a few. The captain took good care of us till we returned to the berth.

With over 40 years of experience Richard was a wealth of knowledge and experience. We were new to trout fishing and Richard was very patient and taught us in detail. His boat was well maintained and equipped. Even though it was raining and cold we still felt cozy and comfortable inside the boat. Had a great well organised fishing trip catching trout, however most were undersized, The sign of a great healthy fishery on lake Taupo. Two nice keepers.

Amazing morning with Captain Richard ! So informative and welcoming beautiful boat and my sons 14 and 16 and hubby were on a role with 8 rainbow trout caught in the 3 hours ! (Ok 6 ;-) 2 somehow escaped ! Once again fantastic morning thanks Richard I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this adventure !

We booked a 3 hour trip and landed 5 takeable fish in that time. The captain was knowledgeable and personable and kept us well informed. The weather was questionable but the boat was warm and comfortable Had the best time - highly recommended
