My son and I visited family in Texas this February. We wanted to fish some where new and Captain Chad and Matagorda Bay did not disappoint. Chad got us into fish at the first stop where we both got personal bests in Red Fish. Lots at fishing action, beautiful scenery, and a very knowledgeable Captain made for a memorable fishing experience. We will definitely be back.

Chad Kraft was our captain and he is very knowledgeable about the fishing in Matagorda Bay.  We caught our limit of Specs, reeled in a bull red, several black drum as well.  Chad is very knowledgeable about the area’s rich history.  We had a ball with Chad and will recommend him highly.  We will be booking him again.

My son and I fished twice with Captain Chad during an August visit to Matagorda.  We appreciate Chad sharing not only his knowledge of targeting various fish species, but also sharing his knowledge of the Matagorda area, the bays, boats, tackle, and the fishing community. We enjoyed constant communication and constant fishing action on both trips. Both days resulted in some very nice fresh trout and redfish to enjoy later.  I highly recommend fishing with Captain Chad.

Conditions were rough, water was super muddy, and there was a massive tournament in town. All of this resulted in a pretty slow day of fishing. However, Captain Chad worked his butt off to try to put us on the fish. He’s knowledgeable about the Bays, easy to communicate with, and really helped make the best of a bad situation. Will be reaching back out in October to try another trip with Chad!

We have been with Captain Chad for 5 years now.  Every time is an awesome time.  He always puts us on fish.  All three of us caught our limit of trout in the first hour.  He then put us on some reds caught quite a few but only one keeper.  2nd year in a row we have caught fish the entire time.
