Half Day Trip • 3 adultsBooked a half day trip with Buffalo Bassman Charters. Couldn't have asked for a more friendly knowledgeable guide. Bluebird skys and light wind presented a challenge to catch fish but Craig was able to get us on some nice smallmouth fairly quickly. Katy had never fished or even been out on a boat was happy to catch a real dandy that fought hard. A slow bite was overcome by persistence and changing locations. We all caught fish and twords the end I caught a pb 6lb 10oz walleye. Can't recommend Craig enough. Absolutely did a great job getting us on fish and instructing how to detect and hook these picky bites. We will be back to fish beautiful Lake Erie with our new friend Craig!

Half Day Trip • 2 adultslet’s start with if you wanna catch fish Captain Greg is your captain. My wife and I had a great experience from the moment we introduced ourselves to Captain Greg on the dock through the entire four hour Charter nothing but professional courteous helping just overall fantastic experience we would recommend him overall 100% whether you’re an adult or a kid he will put you on the fish educate you has a lot of patience just truly enjoys his job being a Charter captain as you can see once you meet him I recommend this to anyone who never fish before or wants to see what it’s like to really catch a fish.

Full Day Trip • 2 adults • 1 childCaptain Greg took my son and I out on his 8th birthday. We caught Sheepshead and Smallmouth, all weighing over 3 lbs. Highly recommend this charter. The captain is very knowledgeable, friendly, and does everything he can to make sure you have a great time.

Half Day Trip • 3 adults • 1 childWe had a great trip with Captain Greg this morning. He obviously knew where the fish were and what bait worked best as we were on them early and the bite was consistent. Caught a bunch of nice Smallmouth and landed several large drums and even a Walleye. He was great with my boys who are 13 and 9 and just a generally great guy to talk to and fish with. I highly recommend him and I know we will use him again!

Half Day Trip • 2 adultsCaptain Greg gave us such an amazing experience! He was very good at teaching us fishing skills on Lake Erie. He told the best stories and made it so there was always conversation. This trip is great for anyone that is up for a good time fishing or looking to learn how to fish. We will be booking with him again in the future and will be taking other people as well!!

JB and his son Ryan hopped on board today. Both of them fished very hard all day and had some beautiful catches to show for it. Included in today’s catches was JB’s first ever and personal best walleye, Ryan’s personal best smallmouth as well as many other catches. The action was fast and furious today!

Local boys find a way! Doug, Doug and Clarence worked very hard today and it paid off with some beautiful smallmouth bass! Not only were they good fishermen but they were all good natured and funny! They kept this Captain laughing all day!

8th Birthday Bash on Erie!

CJ’s 8th Birthday was a huge success. This kid is one heck of a fisherman despite his age! Very smart, funny and respectful young man who listen to instructions and hammered some beauties! Gradma got him this gift, he brought along his mom and prceeded to have him a big day on the water. Started off with a decent drum, caught several outstanding smallmouth and ended the day with a drum over half as tall as he was! His mom Ashley refused to let him have all the fun catching several giant bass herself along the way. All in all a great day on the water.

Just A Pleasant Day on Erie!

Joshua and Alex came for a visit and booked a half - day trip. They were happy to catch anything that was biting but wanted to fish smallmouth and try for walleye if conditions were right. With the wind being light we headed out in the main lake to try for walleye first. It didn’t take Joshua long to hook our first fish of the day, a beautiful 4.5 lb walleye! Wanting to get Alex her first walleye, we made another pass and, after catching a drum, bingo, her first keeper sized walleye hit the net! First half of the plan- SUCCESS! Phase two was to target smallmouth on rock piles and drop offs. Joshua again started us off, boating a beautiful smallmouth and his action remained steady for most of the remainder of the trip. He even tusseled with, and eventually landed an 8lb drum! Alex started slow then continually built up steam boating several beautiful smallmouth including the biggest one of the day! She definitely figured out how to catch them! All in all a pleasant morning with perfect Buffalo summer weather and great clients to boot! I eagerly await future adventures with two new friends!

Nightime Fun!

Took a couple local boys out for a night walleye trip last night. Although the bite wasn’t super strong we had plenty of action and a ton of laughs. Jason had the hot hand boating several quality walleye (the first he’s ever caught). Nick was a last minute substitute and, although he didn’t boat a walleye, he seemingly caught every other species including a couple beautiful smallmouth bass. Just a fantastic night on the water.

Crazy Hooksets and Patience Gets It Done

Carol, husband Jason and son Brennen came from Arkansas to test their angling skills on Erie. Jason started off hot and maintained a steady catch rate all day! In all my years on the water I’ve never seen hooksets like his! Not only did he lose very few fish, the ones he did land were most likely suffering from mild concussions! Carol just stayed steady all day catching many quality fish. In the process she hooked and eventually lost not only the biggest fish of the day but one of the biggest hooked on this boat in quite some time! Brennen had a good day as well, boating several quality fish. Perhaps the story of his day is how he lost several quaity fish early then kept up his patience, improving his technique - eventually landing the majority of his fish including two smalles on our final drift! All in all a great day with a wonderful family! Three more friends gained!
