Even as a straight-A student through school, Captain Shane could never figure out what he wanted to do for a career. He's had a passion for fishing his entire life and one day while taking some friends fishing he realized that he really enjoyed putting people on fish and seeing the excitement it brought to them. Captain Shane decided to get his captain's license and do a job that he loved. Pictures don't show everything or the time it takes to catch some of these big fish. As your captain and fishing guide, he'll do everything in his power to get you on that big one.

    Fun in the sun

    8 Hour Trip – Inshore / Nearshore2 adults

Scott goes at captaining with an ease that comes from years of experience and fun. He was having as much fun fishing as we were. He’s got all the knowledge and an inventory of special spots. I especially enjoyed all of his stories with him and his dad fishing. My son peppered him with fishing questions and he answered them all. It seems he never gets tired, and at the end of the day he filleted a quite bountiful catch. We’ll be back

    Great six-hour trip

    6 Hour Trip – Inshore / Nearshore3 adults2 children

Had a great time with Capt. Shane. It was the kids and my first time saltwater fishing. Cap Shane did a great job of getting us on fish. We caught a good amount of Lane Snapper keepers as well as a Spanish Mackerel to take home. Caught a number of other fish including flounder, King and several sharks, which was very exciting to the kids. If we are back that way will definitely book with Capt Shane again, possibly for a full-day offshore trip.

    Captain Shane!

    4 Hour Trip – Inshore/Nearshore2 adults

My husband and I booked a half day inshore trip and it was the best fishing experience we ever had! It seems like we had a fish on the hook every time we threw our bait in. Big ones, little ones and everything in between. Captain Shane provided us with so much patient guidance and support, we caught 14 different types of fish and more fish than we ever have with anyone else. Every step of the way, he went that extra mile to assure that we had a phenomenal and memorable charter. He was an absolute pleasure to be around, too. I'd go again tomorrow, if I could. He's earned his high rating and then some!

    First of Many

    6 Hour Trip – Inshore / Nearshore3 adults

No complaints here! Captain Shane was very professional and we had a wonderful time! He put us on fish and we caught several different kinds. We even had a hammerhead shark try to take one of our catches while reeling it in. He also showed us several manatees while on the water. It was our first fishing charter trip, and I will absolutely have more thanks to Shane showing us a great time! 100% recommend this charter!

Offshore Bottom Fishing Has Been Hott!!!

Jun 11, 2026 • Grant-Valkaria
Offshore fishing has been on fire the last couple weeks. Our bottom fishing trips have been very productive with lots of yummy tasty little lane snapper, fat mangrove snapper, bluefish, triggerfish, almaco jacks, some grouper here and there, and those beautiful green machines mahi mahi. In addition if you want the fight even though we can't keep them, the infamous big red snapper are always an option as well.

Snook Bite Is Hott

Oct 23, 2025 • Grant-Valkaria
The snook bite at Sebastian Inlet has picked up pretty good this week along with some big bull redfish. We have some rough seas building up this weekend but hopefully next week will be calm enough to rip a lip.

Inshore Redfish Rodeo

Oct 15, 2025 • Grant-Valkaria
The last couple weeks Mother Nature has treated us with some horrible weather but then just like that it is beautiful again. We've had to work around the rain, high winds, and rough seas and we're still putting fish in the boat. Sebastian Inlet has been torn up lately so we've been doing a lot of river fishing. The water levels have been super high due too the King Tides ànd the heavy rains we've been having. The high water levels are allowing us to get back into places we normally can't go because of the depth and it's been very successful. Redfish have been our top fish with a few snook and trout in the mix. Jacks, ladyfish, and bluefish have also given us some good battles as well. Lastly, the mullet run is still in full effect so get out with us soon before time runs out.

Fall Mullet Run 2025

Oct 9, 2025 • Grant-Valkaria
It is the start of the fall mullet run and the big fish have been chewing. The Indian River and Sebastian Inlet have been loaded with hungry predators chewing on giant schools of mullet during their yearly migration. Recently Sebastian Inlet has been full up with hungry bull redfish and Jack crevalles. The snook are hitting here and there but we are getting some keepers here and there. In the river snook, redfish, and tarpon have been devouring mullet. September and October are my personal favorite months of the year to inshore fish, so don't miss out, book a trip with Whatever Turns U On Fishing Charters

October Pumpkins

Oct 8, 2025 • Grant-Valkaria
This past week we've had some really crappy weather. High winds, rough seas, and raining almost everyday. It's not the typical Fall season that I'm used too but we managed to work around it. The bite has been slow but we're still finding fish and having some fun drag screaming action. Redfish has been the most consistent these past couple weeks. Sebastian Inlet has had some really dirty water lately because of the weather. We've been catching a few jacks and reds on the drift but our best luck has been along the mangrove shorelines in the lagoon. The forecast for next week looks pretty good so check us out, book us up, and let's catch some fish.

Persistence Pays Off

Jun 18, 2024 • Grant-Valkaria
I just got back from Alaska doing some halibut fishing with AFishunt Charters and what an amazing trip that was. It was definitely a change of scenery and weather for sure. Probably the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The heat here in Florida is brutal and unforgiving at times but at least we don't have to deal with below freezing temps. Last week we did have some beautiful days despite some of the showers. The river and the ocean were flat and calm which let us get out to some of the nearshore reefs on the flats boat. We were able to limit out on some big lane snapper and a few good sized mangrove snapper. The kingfish have been running down the beach as well as the big tarpon. If you want to target tarpon, let me know before hand because we will have to get on the water much earlier than normal trips, "weather permitting". The river has been holding a bunch of keeper mangrove snapper in some of our honey holes and the snook bite has been pretty decent at times at the inlet. This young kid was getting whooped by his dad and older brother all day catching snapper but he was persistent and ended up pulling in the biggest fish of the day, a nice 30" slot snook. It looks like this week is gonna be a breezy rough week so we'll just have to manage and work around the weather. The forecast for next week is looking to be a pretty good week with calm seas as of now.
