  Captain Luis was wonderful. He went the extra mile to make sure we were on the fish so we could catch as mush as possible on our trip. He was informative, answered our questions and would teach us more about the environment, fishing conditions and reasoning behind the spots he chose. He was attentive to us, not just as fishermen, but also as guests on his boat. My impression was the Captain paid very close attention to our comfort in all aspects of our trip. The excitement he showed when we had a fish on or saw a fish on the water was contagious. It was obvious how much he enjoys taking out his charters and being on the water. We had such a great time, my husband was hoping to book with him again the very next morning. We both would highly recommend booking with Grillofishing Charters. we are looking forward to the opportunity to book with Captain Luis the next time we are in Puerto Rico.

  Super easy going. Our captain Luis really was attentive to the lines very novice friendly if you're new to fishing. We lost two monsters not our guides fault. Without catching any fish in our two hours I would still go again. I would maybe take a Dramamine next time it wasn't bad at all but when your focusing on your pole tip so hard it makes you a little sea sick. The views of the fort and of the colorful houses made this memorable.

  Amazing Birthday fishing trip

  We had an incredible fishing trip in San Juan, Puerto Rico! From the moment we stepped aboard, the captain was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and took the time to explain the fishing techniques and local waters. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the excitement of reeling in fish made the experience unforgettable. The captain worked hard to put us on the fish and were always attentive, helping whenever needed while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed. Whether you're an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, this trip is a must-do in Puerto Rico. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a great day on the water. This was one of the highlights of our vacation, and we would book again without hesitation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting San Juan and looking for an authentic, exciting, and memorable fishing adventure!

  Captain Luis was so friendly and informative during our trip. He taught us how to properly hold the rod and how to reel in a way that would not leave us too tired. It was a slow start (not his fault at all, that’s the nature of fishing), but he worked so hard to make sure we got on some fish. We caught a grouper, multiple snappers, and multiple barracudas. My son caught two very large barracudas and it left him with an enormous smile on his face. This is something he/ I will never ever forget. It was an incredible experience and created memories that will last a lifetime. Truly so thankful for this opportunity, and it wasn’t possible without captain luis. Highly recommend him to everybody!!

  Best Fishing in Puerto Rico!

  4 or 6 Hour Trip – Reef Fishing on October 22, 2026 • 2 adults

  Captain Luis is fantastic! shared a lot of information regarding the island. We drove 5 miles out, and he put us right on the fish (Mahi Mahi, Barracuda and Hogfish) The views from the island were excellent. He was stocked with pop/soda, water and beer, along with some chips to eat. The boat was clean and organized. it was very easy get to the poles. we would certainly book with Captain Luis again!
