Where do I start.  the captain and deck hand cool AF.  dealt with my multi aged kids, little girl that neeses lits of help, and were patient when I got a little tipsy. For anyone who likes to fish and wants a great crew, the Southern Star is perfect. They put a large group of us right on the fish. Helped with the kids and made sure everyone had lines in the water as much as possible. The boat was clean and roomy. Walking around on deck was enjoyable without worrying you would catch ypurself. They gave great advice on handling the fillets and preparing them. I would recommend them 100%.

Captain Gavin and crewman Jay were the best. We had a group of 8 for my birthday and selected the 4 hour trip. We arrived 20 minutes early and everything was prepared. We were very fortunately the weather was perfect and everyone caught 2-8 fish each. Gavin took us to several spots and Jay was busy measuring fish and keeping us instructed on what to do and avoid. I was very nervous about the trip as the most important part to me was being able to get our disabled son and his wheelchair on the boat safely and to be able to include him in what we were doing for the day. The crew were super helpful and it was so easy to get him on and off the boat. Then they kept us on fish, and we’re not just helping us with fishing, but we’re sure to be talking with him as well and showing him the fish and everything that was going on.

Fantastic Trip.  Gavin, Brad, and Bobby were nothing but professional.  They took 7 beginners, showed us the ropes, made things super easy, very comfortable and we caught some fish, and by some, I mean a lot.  Not sure a first time, 4 hour introduction could be any better.  Thanks Crew!
