There's a fish with your name on it in Orange Beach, and Southern Star Outfitters will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Bobby and Captain JR can tell you all about them.
The fish in these waters include Red and Vermilion Snapper, Scamp and Gag Grouper, Triggerfish, Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and more, depending on the season. You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You're welcome to bring home any fish you catch, assuming they meet regulations and your captain will provide rods and reels.
Your adventure will be on board the Southern Star, a newly restored 47' Jersey vessel that can accommodate up to 16 guests. It has a toilet and AC. Young ones are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Bringing snacks and drinks is a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach. Don't forget your sunglasses and sunblock (non-spray).
A First Mate will be there to assist you and make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 20% at the end of the day to show your appreciation. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask, and your captain can tell you more.

What an incredible day out on the water! We had an amazing deep sea fishing trip targeting red snapper, and it did not disappoint. The captain and crew were knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great experience. They knew exactly where to find the fish, kept us on them all day, and were always there to help with baiting hooks, landing fish, and making sure everyone felt comfortable. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and the entire trip was organized from start to finish. If you’re looking for an unforgettable deep sea fishing adventure and want to catch some beautiful red snapper, I highly recommend this charter. We made great memories, caught plenty of fish, and can’t wait to book another trip. Five stars all the way!
we did just a 4-hour trip, Captain and deckhand were ready to go when we got there a little early. They found us some fish by trolling and bottom fishing. there were 7 of us, we all caught several fish and had a great time!! Monkey was our deck hand, he was awesome! he definitely made our trip a success with his great attitude, conversation and of course helping us with the fishing! He expertly turned our catch into fillets and steaks. Thanks for the great trip! was a highlight of our trip to Gulf Shores for a family reunion Jim

Where do I start. the captain and deck hand cool AF. dealt with my multi aged kids, little girl that neeses lits of help, and were patient when I got a little tipsy. We found fish on an off day out of season and killed it. we ended up with bags and bags and bags of filets. Well priced and even worked with us adjusting schedule for a bad weather cold snap. the boat itself was fantastic. Warm, good tunes. Convenient clean bathroom, large ice chest we were able to pack with our favorite beverages. this boating experience is a memory Ill cherish with my family for ever. i cant say enough good things, but I'll conclude by saying everything was just simply perfect down to the little details.
This was the first time sea fishing for my family. Captain and Mate were fantastic, very helpful. It was a four hour trip and we didn’t expect a lot of action. But they put us on fish and we did better than they expected. We caught a ton of fish and got 11 red snapper keepers. Would highly these guys to anyone looking for a short trip with action. Will definitely go back out with these guys again.

Brendan and Gage were great. We did a four our trip and caught 5 king mackrel, a couple spanish mackrel, a few red snapper and plenty of bonita. great for our group of 12 (4 adults, 8 kids). will absolutely book with them again.
