My love for the sea began in my childhood, fishing from the shore in Bonaire. But everything changed at 14 when my father gifted me an 8 foot boat. That moment sparked my lifelong passion for the ocean, and I quickly began venturing further into the open sea. At 19, I followed my dream by studying for the Coast Guard in Curaçao, where I worked for three years. During this time, I gained valuable experience, including search and rescue missions in rough seas, which reinforced my commitment to safety. Today, I run my own charter service. I built the interior of my boat by myself. From the console to the flooring, every detail was crafted to create the perfect fishing experience. It's the largest boat I've owned, and it's designed to ensure you have an unforgettable adventure. Captain Carlos delivered an outstanding experience from start to finish. He’s knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. From the moment we set out, he made sure everyone felt comfortable and knew what to expect. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out. What impressed me most was how hard he worked to make the trip successful—constantly adjusting, reading conditions, and sharing helpful tips along the way. Nice boat, friendly crew, great trip
4 Hour Trip – Sunrise on April 2, 2026 • 2 adults
The boat was ready for us to leave when we arrived at 5:45 in the morning. It took just a short time to get to the fishing grounds where the captain put out 2 hand lines with lures to catch some bait fish. The third line was out for some bigger game fish. Unfortunately no fish are biting that morning. After 3 hours of trying that method we switched to bottom fishing. Immediately got a bite and caught one fish, then a second. The crew was very friendly and explained the local way of fishing. Soft drinks and water were provided. The boat was spotless and in excellent condition. For deep bottom fishing we used an electric reel which made it very easy to retrieve fish from 150'. Everybody was disappointed that we only caught two fish, but we all agreed that's why we call this sport "fishing". I would highly recommend Carlos and his services. The next time I'm back in bonaire I'll go fishing with him again.

Great Trip!

had a great morning fishing with Captain Carlos! his boat was comfortable and well equipped. had a fun time catching lots of black fin tuna trolling. spent some time fishing for pelagics with some of the smaller tuna as live bait. when no joy after an hour, we swithed to bottom fishing and caught red snapper and amber jack. we left with 10 lbs of excellebt fish!! Capt. Carlos is fantastic. mice guy and knowledgeable avoutthe fish and fishing. will definitely fish again with Capt Carlosthe next time we are in Bonaire.

Sunset deepsea fishing tour

We had an amazing deep sea sunset fishing trip with Bonaire Fish Things! Captain Carlos was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great time from start to finish. The fishing was fantastic—we caught a beautiful Red Snapper and even landed a Barracuda, which was an unforgettable experience. Watching the sun set over the Caribbean while being out on the water made the trip even more special. Carlos knows exactly where to find the fish, shares great tips, and creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere on board. Whether you’re an experienced angler or trying deep sea fishing for the first time, we highly recommend this trip. A perfect mix of adventure, great fishing, and an incredible Bonaire sunset. Wat een topdag op het water met kapitein Carlos! Hij kent het gebied overduidelijk op zijn duimpje. Uiteindelijk maar liefst vier verschillende soorten gevangen: tonijn, red snapper, sand tilefish en als klap op de vuurpijl een prachtige coral grouper. De sfeer aan boord was relaxed en de deskundigheid van Carlos was indrukwekkend. Als je een geslaagde vistrip wilt boeken waarbij je ook echt wat moois binnenhaalt, moet je bij hem zijn. Een absolute aanrader!
