Had an amazing morning with my teenage sons (17, 19) and Captain Carlos.  We are from Pennsylvania so only familiar with lake and stream fishing.  Carlos was extremely knowledgeable and helped teach us different methods of warm water ocean fishing.  Landed a large mahi early and then a nice tuna hand lining.  Caught a cooler full of fish (Mahi, blackfin tuna, skipjack and rainbow runner).  20+ fish in total.  Boys had so much fun and were texting and snapchatting friends pictures from the trip.  Boat is perfect size for 2-3 people that want to experience fishing as a local.  After the trip, Carlos asked what fish we wanted and then cleaned and fillet our Mahi and a tuna.  He then recommended Tasty Bar and Steakhouse in town, a restaurant he collaborates with.  The restaurant made us 3 different appetizers and 2 family size plates of mahi and tuna prepared different ways for a very reasonable fee.  The meal was delicious and staff very friendly.  A fitting end to a great day.  If you are looking for something different than sitting on the beach or snorkeling/diving,  I highly recommend spending a morning fishing with Carlos and experiencing another part of this island.

We went with our two sons fishing with Captain Carlos on the Caribbean Sea near Bonaire. We went on his boat to the south end of the island and did trawling and bottom fishing. He was very friendly, anticipating our needs (do you still feel OK?) and speaking a lot about the fishing, the island, etc. We had a lovely afternoon, caught fish and experienced a beautiful sunset (our trip was slightly scheduled to experience this!). Carlos cleaned the fish that we caught and we prepared it in the evening for dinner, best ever!!! We will certainly do this again as we are frequent visitors of Bonaire. You should as well….!

Captain Carlos showed us a great time. born and raised on bonaire, he’s a great source of local lore and a great guide. we went for a bittom fishing trio and caught red snapper, yellow eyed snapper, and amberjack. We even did a bit of snorkeling on our way back. would 100%!recommend!!!

Our family of four had the most incredible time on this fishing boat tour — hands down the highlight of our trip to Bonaire! From the moment we stepped aboard, Captain Carlos and his crew mate Tariq made us feel right at home. They knew all the right places to fish - less than an hour into our trip everyone had a catch.

The energy on the boat was fun and upbeat — perfect for families. We each caught a fish (yes, even the kids!), and the look on my youngest son’s face when he reeled in a huge tuna was priceless — a moment we’ll never forget.

Captain Carlos didn’t just stop at fishing — he recommended Tastys restaurant where they cooked up our fresh catch, and wow… it was delicious! Such a perfect way to end the day.

Booked a four hour trip with Captain Carlos. Weather the night before made the trip a bit questionable but we went and weather and seas were perfect. First bite came within a minute. Carlos uses hand lines which is a 1/4” nylon rope with weights every foot or so. Once a fish bites you hand over hand pull it in. First fish broke the line and Carlos had us fishing in minutes. He also had a rod and reel trolling off the back. That line hit second. Within 30’ of the boat a shark took that tuna. Lots of bites unfortunately it was a day without landing them. Had a really nice wahoo hookup that fought for a couple minutes before breaking loose. After trolling tried bottom fishing for a short period of time. 300’ down, small fish taking the bait. Ended with three small fish including one red snapper. Overall great morning. Perfect weather. Sound but small boat. I’d definitely recommend it. There is a fish market in town for backup so you don’t need to eat goat. Thanks again Carlos
