This was our first charter with my two sons, and I was really hoping to hook into a big fish. The bite started off slow, and for the first few hours we only managed some small perch and catfish—mostly bait-sized fish. But the captain didn’t give up. My son(18) , nephew(12) and I had a wonderful morning out with Joe. He was easy to communicate with leading up to the trip and gave detailed instructions of where to meet him. Joe has been fishing this area for a long time and really knows where to go to find the fish. Captain Joe provided us with a trip we will most certainly remember. He was on the fish throughout our trip, 30+ catfish on a 4 hour trip, awesome is the best word to describe it. When we left my wife asked the boys scale of 1 to 10 how was the trip, 10’s from them and my wife and I. We will definitely be planning future trips with Captain Joe.

The captain was very helpful and knowledgeable the grandson and my husband are I was well taken care of , he was very caring and help with our challenges being senior, safety first and he had a great personality. Captain Joe told us they would be a catfish bite and he was right. Everyone on the boat caught fish, a lot of fish. Of the 40 or 50 fish that we landed one was a 30 pounder and another was a 20 pounder. Captain Joe is a great guy. He was excellent with our eight-year-old young fisherman. He spent a lot of time helping him and teaching him. I’m looking forward to the next time. We are on board with captain Joseph Chamberlain.
