What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Cartagena for the first time?

stay away from this captain or maybe even the booking company. They dont stand behind their Captains. Captain David Harris was absolutel terrible. He was late to thd boat, the boat was not ready,it was not the boat in the ad, no electronics on board, the vhf radio in case of emergencies was suspect, the caprain took two naps while my fishing partner and I opetated the boat, he had no clue how to find spots and was not even concerned. Not the right gear, no bait, etc… A total scam. The booking company should refund our fees and then go after the Captain, nope they will not.

Rating anything on a one-time basis is really of questionable value. The experience might be terrible OR great - depending on what you expected to get out of it. If guaranteed fish is your objective, go to the fish market.

If you want to fish for the larger game fish such as Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and Sailfish, you may have to book a full day trip as the captain needs to run further out to reach these species.
