What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Whitney, Texas for the first time?

Expect the best thing fishing guy, this side of Hill county, Texas if he can’t put you on, no one will just bring your beverage and choice kick back and really named your fish. Then when you’re done he’s gonna take you up to the dock and clean all those fish for you can’t get no better than that.

Patience, take time to learn the lake and where to fish, work areas around the lake and catch striper, bass and catfish.

We actually fished on Richland-Chambers Reservoir. Blake suggested that we’d have more luck there than Whitney and gave us the choice between the two, free of extra charges.

For first time fishers in Whitney I would suggest to have a guide. I've fished there for years and never caught as many and the size we caught with a guide.

A couple of days before our trip, Captain Brody and Sheree suggested we fish at Lake Benbrook rather than Whitney. So glad we made the change, as the fish were definitely biting at Lake Benbrook.

Slow fishing in early March. A cold front came through a couple of days before our trip and it slowed the fish down.

This was our first time, just go and be prepared for the what ever weather is forecast. Use Blake on the Lake!!!
