Your fishing experienced depends on the expertise of your captain. I found Captain Robert to be very knowledgeable of the fishing in this area. We discussed our objective and he delivered exceptionally. I would highly recommend him.

Spring fishing can be a little slow, however we caught just enough for a good meal. Jesse was knowledgeable and patient, he answered all my dumb questions. Caught the fish in the morning, ate them that night.

The fishing is a bit tough. The schools are small and concentrated. It takes a bit to find them. However, they fight like bandits when hooked. It is lots of fun and definitely strengthens your skills as an angler.

Part of the trip included anchoring in choppy water, as wind was very high as well as waves - so, fortunately, we had Dramamine for everyone To help with the motion sickness. Long sleeves and sunblock is recommended for the June sunny days.

Be patient this time of year. You will catch fish regardless, as long as you catch the tide at the right time of day in the spot you’re fishing. As the water continues to warm up the fishing will continue to get better and better.

Low country fishing is fast paced. If you put your pole down your bait is gone.

There was plenty of fish to catch, mostly red drums, some black drums, trout, etc.
