Fall through winter in the central florida space coast area from Daytona Beach - New Smyrna Beach - Cocoa Beach is a fantastic time to fish for a variety of gamefish including redfish, black drum, sea trout, snook and tarpon, and in particular red fish or red drum!

Great day of fishing the inshore saltwater lagoons for redfish, trout, and black drum. Many fish can be targeted visually this time of year as the cooler winter temps clear up the water. It makes spotting singles and large groups of fish much easier. With large groups of black drum around this time of year its hard to beat a day of flats fishing.

In the winter months a large migration of spawning adult black drum move into the esutary. Most days we chase large schools of them on the shallow flats and some days target them in the deeper pockets. Theres no better time than the next couple months to target these monsters.
