Fresh Yellow Reef Fishing Reports

Finally back on the reef ?? It was not an easy day - high swell, low pressure system shifting strong winds from 360 directions and weak current. Plenty of fish on most places but not so much biting ? Luckily we found some good spots on the outer reef in the afternoon and our guests from Israel ?? did a great job catching them ???? As usual many small fish were released so they can grow bigger - Thanks for a great and funny day ??

Sandra, Moritz and their dog Maja joined us for a trip on the Yellow reef all the way from Berlin. We started a little late due to swell from a windy night and filled the live bait tank outside the harbor. Ready for te day we headed for the first wrecks which only offered few and small Cods. Netx stop was some atone reefs were there were more fish but still not very big. The swell had now improved and our guests had gotten familiar with the boat and fishing technics so we headed further west. The first couple of drifts on the next wreck offered some solid bites but both fish came off. In the next couple of stops the fish were in the bite and we got some strong Lings and Pollocks. We tried to go further west but got stopped by thick fog rolling in from Norway. We ended the day fishing mackrels for the BBQ ? Started from Hanstholm today and went to the outside of the Yellow Reef. Got some solid Cods, many big Lings and some strong Pollacks?. Also saw 3 bluefin tunas jumping close to the boat ?. Going againg tomorrow... ?

The season has started on the yellow reef. Plenty of ling, cod, makrel, coalfish and pollock. The fish are getting bigger and bigger every week ??? Every week we see dolphins as well. Don’t miss the fun

Have mostly been fishing privately this spring due covid19. Also the boat stranded at La Gomera as the island suddenly closed down while we were gearing up for tunas. After two months of paperwork we finally got a permit to pick up our boat. What a start of 2020... ? Nevertheless the fishing has been good on the yellow reef and seems like it is getting better every day now!

While the rest of Denmark had plenty of wind there was a lowpreasure center over Skaregerak with calm winds. Hence we acted kvickly and moved he boat there. We had a fantastic day with plenty fish and lots of fun.
