What anglers said about fishing in Trou Aux Biches

If fishing live bait, ask the captain to give you a rod too, otherwise you will be watching the crew fish and waiting for them to hook one for you. If you are a fisherman, you will want to experience the take!!!

The skipper (Kevin) and crew are friendly and try everything to put you in the fish. All of the equipment is top of the line and looked after. The boat is fast to get you to your locations quicker and has everything on it you need for an enjoyable day out.

I would recomend bringing your own gear aswell due to that the fishing right off the beach is good fun and good chanses off catching some fish.

The larger boat made the deep water swell in windy conditions a much easier experiance.

Book a trip with experienced local fishermen, e.g. Coer de Lion. They know which types of fish are where and when best to be catched.

Yes however I must state that we only launched from Trou Aux Biches as Sept had yielded small Tuna & Bonita so Capt Kevin headed for the East coast in search of Dorado, a good decision. My suggestion is leave the process to seasoned Captains such as Capt Kevin of FV Cour de Lion to make the decision.

This time of the year you will need to go out on a full day fishing trip starting early morning with live bait and be prepared for rough seas at times as it can pick up fast with the windy conditions but calms down just as fast. The best fish to target are Dolphin fish.

Go out for tuna and dorado, it is usually very good. From December to March also is Marlin season and with a little luck you might catch one.
