Into The Depths Sportfishing – 24'
We had a great day, caught lots of fish and good company. We spent a week in Oceanside and fishing was the highlight of our visit,…. according to our grandson. But then he did catch a shark. So much fun.

We took Bovine the night before so that it was in our system when we got on the boat in the mornibg. we also took ginger chews, real ginger ale and some saltine crackers all to keep the sea sickness at bay… and it worked for us!

Study the type of fish, and the season at Clearlake, ask ahead regarding how the species you're targeting is doing and have balanced expectations, but go for the fun of it, and to be outside with the potential of catching decent fish! March can be tougher for quantity of bass, but does still have potential of large fish!

Best to get your licence the day before in the event there is a large group going out in the morning. Also, if going to Mexican waters...bring passport, opens up more fishing water then not having it.

know if youre able to idle in rougher seas without getting sea sink. we have 4 kids and two didnt do well and our captian was on it with solutions. ultimately we had to head back into the bay which was great that he knew to do this. in the bay all the boys felt great and they kept on fishing. ?

If you are fishing San Diego in February, be realistic. February is good for certain fish, and not good for others. Just talk to your Captain and find out what's biting before you go out. They will be honest and they do an awesome job putting you on fish, but don't expect to catch a bluefin nearshore in February. We had an awesome trip because the communication was awesome, and our Captain knew exactly where to go for us to catch some eaters.

That said, some species aren’t around this time of year, and a portion of what you’ll catch is catch-and-release. Even so, we landed over 10 fish, the weather was solid, and we had a great time overall.
