What a day yesterday, Weakfish boat limits for both my morning and afternoon charters. My morning trip I had the Asselte boys out. We started in drizzle, but finished with a full fish box. They managed a true mixed bag of jumbo porgys and a boat limit of weakfish. The afternoon trip for Peconic Water Sports fared just as well with a boat limit of weakfish, and bag of tasty fillets for the table. Come on out, book a trip, the fish are biting, and the weather is great.

After a night of rain, I got up early and it was beautiful out. I ran down to the skiff, and with the wrong tides, found some fish. The best was this nice 24" striped bass.

Had the McGuire boys from California out today for some Peconic Bay Fishing. Even with a slow bite, the boys put together a nice catch of Porgy, Weakfish, and Sandsharks. The weather was a perfect ten, and a great time was had.

After three days of full on wind, I awoke this morning to calm seas. I headed out in the Pro Skiff to look for stripers. Hitting the usual spots, I managed a few hits, then connected on a nice 23" school striper. I later found bunker schools, but little action on them. A great morning after such a windy weekend. Summer is here next week, so come on out and go fishing.

Took the skiff out this morning with Josh Kelinson to chase striped bass in the creeks. We found a calm spot with warmer water, and started casting Rapala Skitter Raps - we had hits almost instantly. Most were small fish, then Josh hooked a nice 20" class fish, which we brought to the boat for photos & release. Later in the trip, I landed a similar 20" class fish, which after photos was released unharmed. The fish are there, and getting bigger....

Yesterday I took out Chris Showalter for his birthday on a fluke trip. We had some wind against tide conditions, but after a steady grind through the sea robins, Chris brought in a nice keeper fluke. We had a great day on the water, and caught many fish. The water is warming, and the fishing is only going to get better. Give a call and book a trip.
