Chose Mangrove Madness charters. Captan Brady is so knowledgeable that Iโd even feel comfortable going smog myself to fish this area just after Ike trip out with him. Pack lots of sunscreen, and some snacks too! And wear shoes you donโt mind getting wet!

Mangrove Madness
A private charter is definitely the way to go, and Cody was the best! Weโve tried a few different charters and the experience with Captain Cody was by far our best experience.

Poseidon Fishing โ Apollo Beach
Bring a jacket in case it's chilly. Temperatures were in the high 50's, low 60's, and "cold" when moving between fishing spots across the bay. Luckily, our Captain Brian had extra jackets to share with us and kept us warm.

Just let the expert teach you how to fish. We went quite a ways out and caught lots of fish, I was hoping to catch a tarpon but they werenโt biting.

Know when the tide is coming in and going out. Guys at the bait shops are helpful. Even the charter captains will give you tips if you talk to them.

All aspects of the trip were excellent. I suggest that any July trip be in the morning only, since afternoon rains are probable.
