Family Fun
Go early and brig sunscreen, hat and glasses. Mike had plenty of water and bait. Bring a camera too, you’d be surprised at all the stuff you see in addition to the fishing. For kids seeing dolphins, a manta ray, Space X boosters etc could be even more memorable than catching fish.

Understand about lead lines, understand about using bait fish hooks. Understand how to use a planer, if deep sea fishing. In the summer leave the beer and bring the water cooler instead. Drink after, if chartering a smaller fishing boat. Use the time to learn and understand so that you can do it yourself as well.

Weather can be tricky so book closer to the beginning of your trip so you may have possible options to reschedule for a later day if available with the charter. Most charters are flexible and willing to reschedule if they have availability.
