Fresh Durham Fishing Reports

Welding has been very good it's had a couple ups and down days but overall good numbers.

Great shad fishing with big numbers up at welding right now!! We've been fortunate enough to catch triple digits each trip we've been up there. If you'd like to get on some of the action we would love to take you out. Remember striper fishing we'll get going really good here in April.

Great numbers have shown up with fun action on light tackle and fly rods! All the stripers are still down the river but very good number fishing using artificial jigs and live bait. As it looks right now, the striper will be up at weldon in full force by mid april. Get up with us for your fishing on the complete roanoke river!

Shad are making thier way up the rivers on thier annual run for the spawning grounds! We will be in weldon for the run march 19 thru the end of march for the great fishery that occurs every year.

Blue catfish have moved into the Albemarle sound and are very about dang this year. We went out exploring and found big numbers experimenting with some different techniques. We have alot available days the next 2 months.

Now that striper and catfishing on the roanoke river is over we are back to catching red drum on the windy days!
