Fishing at the end of August is some what slow you don’t catch quantity but more quality fish as in the size of the fish do your research and find a great captain who now’s were to find the fish I recommend The Line Dancer with captain Don and Bob

You truly can’t go wrong by booking with the professionals on board the LineDancer. Both Captains Bob & Don were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were great in both giving tips and praise to my 10 yr old grandson. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a first rate quality fishing charter

Bring a sun hat, shades, and plenty of water and snacks. If you get easily boat sick, get a scopolamine patch for motion sickness.

Bring Plenty of Ice, Drinking Water, Snacks, Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, long sleeve shirt, pants, boat shoes, and bug spray -just in case blackflies are out. Be ready to catch fish.

We normally fish Michigan City since it's closer, but going to St. Joseph is worth it if you want Salmon and Steelhead. The St Joseph river outlet really makes a difference on the fishing, plus we didn't have to run out for an hour to find the deep water like we do in MC and Portage harbors on the same lake. More time fishing. The town is quaint and the views are amazing
