Be prepared for anything. Itโs called fishing, not getting. Sometimes they bite and sometimes they donโt. The Captain will do all he can to make it a good trip but itโs not completely on the Captain. Keep that in mind, and always be courteous.

Go with the recommendation of your captain based on the tides, but the middle of the day is HOT! My family was ready to head in at noon. I would recommend the morning or evening if the tides agree.

Fishing Jekyll island is a great experience. The only issue with fishing in July is obviously the heat. So as long as you are prepared for the heat and sun, you will be fine.
