Apparently this is a poor year for haddock and cod, which is what we signed up for when we booked. We were recommended to not do this upon arriving due to a combination of choppy seas and poor recent success.

Iโm so glad that I found Captain Larry, we had a great day and caught so many fish that my arms hurt from all the reeling I did. I highly recommend this Captain!

I think June may be a better time to be in Kittery. Less traffic and crowds etc. In addition the fishing might be better too

I recommend bringing Dramamine if itโs your first time deep sea fishing, and I recommend booking your charter with Captain Larry the process is smooth and he knows what places to take you to to catch fish so no worries about not catching fish

Fish in sping before the dogfish arrive and Haddok fishing is the best and you can keep one Cod in the spring and if lucky, one Halibut.

Not only was our fishing adventure top notch with Vintage Fish Company on the Northern Lights boat, but Rays Sea Food Restaurant also has some of the freshest, tastiest Haddock I have ever let melt in my mouth. A must! Rye is a beautiful area with gorgeous homes. It was a pleasure to have the experience this summer.
