Technically we were in the waters off Provincetown. The bite was on for both stripers and bluefish and the ocean mammals were in close to shore which was an added bonus!

Ortus Charters - Outer Cape(Dennis to Ptown)
Expect nice weather in July, but be aware of the forecast and prepare. Reeling them in takes a bit of strength and endurance, I had to rest after two 10 lbs stripers, I'm still paying for it 2 days later, but I don't care at 71.

Striper were in full swing, Bluefish sparse in Cape Cod bay early July 2024, appearing later than is normal.

Yeah great boat for newer anglers. The Capt is very personable and the mates are knowledgeable and def worked to get us on some fish (changed jig colors a few times, etc)

Itโs hit or miss between stripers and blues this time of year. You can catch numbers of one species one week and few of the other, and then the next week it can switch. Sometimes you can find both species around and willing to bite. Depends on water temps and bait availability.
