Fresh Safe Harbor Emerald Coast Fishing Reports

We cought a couple spanish,kings,amberjacks and an awsome sailfish

We decided to stick to trolling due to sea conditions. Started out wide open got 2 of are 5 lines out and doubled up (landing bolth)after catching several false albacore we decided to make a move towards the pier and cought severl more and finally a king mackerel, we just kept moving further out to deeper water catching 2 more kings and albacore, about 8 miles from shore we hooked up on a good fish quickly realizing either a amberjack or blackfin, after a good fight we landed a 26 pound blackfin, shortly after had a spanish get hit on its way in by a cuda and moments later catching a nice cuda (17 albacore, 1 blackfin, 3 kings and 1 cuda)

We had just got lines out and saw a big school of tuna breaking we got ahead of them and hooked up and got a 25 pound blackfin in the box, are 5th this week. we tried to find the school again but no luck. About 30 minutes later we saw another school blowing up but couldn't get ahead of them before they went back down, what an awesome show.

We trolled over some near shore reefs. We cought some juvenile amberjack and got 2 nice blackfin tunas

We have been catching kings and false albacore consistently, and coming across some smaller school mahi but all snapper season the snapper its hit or miss, but they are back on the near shore reefs and bitting. The last two trips we have cought some real good ones. One near 20 pounds and a 11 pounder and several mingo snapper and some short trigger fish. On severl trips we cought 30 to 40 pound jack crevel within just a couple minutes after leaving the dock. Photos from the last snapper trip in July and the last couple weeks. The two big snapper are from this week catch and release, closed season until weekends in September, October and November long weekends on holidays.

The blackfin had been showing up near the pasd so thats where we started and in the first 2 min. of trolling we hooked up double, but wrong species. After catching several false albacore we decided to move down towards the pier and didn't take long and we found a good king mackrel and several more albacore. So we made a decision to just keep working furter out and cought another king and finally we hooked up and knew wright away it was likely a blackfin tuna and was wright 26 pounds. 25 fish total , 1 blackfin, 3 king mackerel, a short amberjack ( season opens sept. 1st) 1 spanish, bite by barracuda, 1 barracuda, and 18 false albacore.
