The fishing has been really good the last couple of weeks! Trout and redfish are closed right now, but my clients today (Kevin and Danielle) weren't interested in keeping anything. The Snook was a hot bite but mostly undersized. There were plenty of keeper Trout, but you can't keep them until Jan. 1st. Black Drum and Redfish have both been a hot bite if you know where to look. Altogether, it was a great day!

The bite has been hot in Mosquito Lagoon! The cold water has the redfish and medium-sized black drum schooled up and cruising the flats while the gator trout bust topwaters in the morning and lay-up on the flats in late morning. Most days the bite is going all day! with the crystal clear water and low winter water levels sight fishing is exceptional this time of year on fly or spin.

Snook season is open and the fishing is good! Getting multiple snook a night right now. The biggest challange is typically getting one โ€œsmallโ€ enough to keep! We are also seeing warly signs of the mullet run leading to some great tarpon fishing. It sounds like cinder blocks being dropped from a bridge when you get into a pack of feeding tarpon.

The Tarpon are in! We have a number if ways to catch tarpon hwre in mosquito lagoon and new smyrna beach. From fishing outside the inlet along the beaches to pods of tarpon in channels between flats and even adult tarpon occasionally laid up or cruising on the flats. We can fish them on fly, with live bait, or artificial lures. The bite should continue in through early spetember. Book now to come chase the silver king!
