Personally, I recommend a good long sleeve UV resistant shirt, SPF 70 sunscreen for your face and neck, and hydrate well the day before. And, be prepared for a workout! Fish that swim in ocean currents are a lot stronger than anything Iโve ever caught in fresh water.

If youโre used to inland fishing just know that you donโt need to set the hook to fish here, just let the fish hit at your bait until the rod tip bends forward. Also, these fish fight a lot harder than any inland fish so be prepared!

The weather was a little chilly and foggy but it didnโt stop the fun or the fishing! Definitely recommend a jacket for the boat ride if the temp is in the 70s as it was warm on shore but I didnโt think about the wind from the water and the boat ride.
