Great time in Port A. The food scene was so much better than I recall in the past. Even the bad weather was ok and cleared out for the afternoon. Fish were not biting like crazy but we still managed to pull our limit on trout and grab plenty for the freezer. Great time to visit!

Blue Rush Charters –Port Aransas 22
These waters have plenty of fish but as such, sand holes can be go, slo, or no! Be patient and never blame the Captain. We went from no to slo to go in 4 hours, huge fish trumped small fish, then went to Virginia’s to cook our catch. It was a great day!

Actually, the day before Captain Kevin called me and said that they were having a lot of good luck in Corpus Christi Bay so we switched and went there and had a Great outcome. That was a good call.

I would recommend that if this is your first-time fishing offshore and your body is not use to the waves, be sure to get the prescription motion sickness patch or some kind of good motion sickness pill.

I was worried about the water being rough because it was windy and rough on the beach, but the flats were smooth as glass. I was never worried, even with kids. Fishing was good even though a tropical storm had rolled though a few days before.

Bring sun screen and beach games. You have to have patience when fishing for sharks so you’ll want something to do in the down time, but when they bite it’s a battle and worth every second.

He's there to put you on fish. Boat shoes are a must to keep your feet comfortable. A swimsuit with light, long sleeves, hooded fishing shirt is recommended. It gets hot and humid here.
