Another Fish Charters โ Gulf Shores
I listed this trip was ok for kids, it might not be for little ones if the weather/water conditions arenโt right.
Also surprisingly got a little chilly at a couple of points on the trip. Iโll probably take a light rain jacket next time just in case.

Captain Perry was great with a couple of obvious greenhorn fishermen. Really talked through the process and what works best with the fish we were chasing.

Take some medicine for motion sickness a hour before you take the trip out . It will help you for sure. Make sure if youโre taking kids out you book the right boat and a good captain . The Reese family boat was great we had an awesome time. They put us on the fish .

If it's a charter let them know what you're after and they'll do their best to get you to the right area. But remember it's still fishing and you can't make fish do what you want.

Check the map to the marina more carefully than I did, donโt drive down the wrong peninsula and have to go back into town (like me)!

Dress appropriately for the season. (About 20 degrees cooler than the predicted forecast). It was also windy. You can shed layers. Captain Randy Reese was a phenomenal guide.

We were tied to a late March date because of college Spring Break dates, but I would recommend a May date if your vacation is flexible. The temps are all over the place in March, so results won't be as consistently good. Captain Shawn knows where to find the fish no matter the weather and season though, so don't be afraid to go early in the season like we did.
