Seward is gorgeous, enjoy! Make sure that you get your licenses bought before hand. It's a long boat trip out, maybe up to 2 hours. Bring food, bring entertainment (or just get outside on deck and enjoy the beauty.

Fishing the shore in Seward can be hit or miss depending on the fishing gods. Snag fishing is a different type of fishing and needs some schools of fish for a large catch.

If it's a last minute trip, check to see how the silver salmon run is. If you booked your trip months in advance like most people do there isn't anything you can do about it, but there are plenty of other fish to catch.

This was my 1st time fishing in Seward and it was an awesome experience!! Captain Mike and DH Trey were great! They got along extremely well with everyone in our party. The location they took us to fish was very productive and the boat was solid. I would definitely go out with them again.

Always be prepared for weather changes. Realize this is a "fishing" charter, not a "catching" charter. Know the guides WANT you to catch fish and they are acutely aware that your experience in their office dictates future business so they want happy fished up customers. Be prepared, polite and fun and you will get that back in spades from them. If something isn't the way you want it, ask for a change and keep an open mind.

Cannot plan around the weather. We had rainy-windy day. Could not get out into the big water due to small craft advisory. We still caught our limit of halibut & salmon. Plus we landed a good mess of nice Pacific Cod & Rockfish.

Cold and a bit wet, and the biggest halibut aren’t in the area yet. But we got one that was over 100lbs, and plenty of rockfish and smaller halibut. Not very busy out there.
