Started the late afternoon session working some of the deeper oyster bars picking up redfish as they were being pushed out by the dropping tide. Large white baits with their tails removed seemed to be the ticket in the higher water temperature. Then shifting to the back county working deep mangrove cuts for snook and juvenile tarpon to finish out the trip. It’s always fun to get the schools fired up with live chum. They definitely put on a show.

Well that summer time shallow water bite is happening. Reds and snook are pushing troughs alongside mangroves and oysters. Fish these areas when the tide is pulling water across them. Either with large white baits or with pin fish with their tails and heads cut off. Fishing baits slow with the water temps be high is key. P

The trout bite on the deeper grass flats has beem fast and furious. This has been putting plenty of fish for dinner in the cooler. The snapper bite on the rocks and near shore reefs are producing as well. And our summer time snook bite is fantastic early in the morning on the moving tide.
