CABO FISHING REPORT – BLUE SKY CABO FISHING CHARTERS
July 17, 2026 – Blue Marlin and Sailfish Caught and Released
Two different billfish species made this six-hour Cabo fishing charter a memorable morning for Will, Chase, Gaines and Bill from Texas. Fishing aboard Blue Water, our 35-foot Riviera, the group departed at 6:00 AM with Captain Oscar and spent the morning offshore before returning at noon.
The result was an impressive combination: one blue marlin and one sailfish, with both fish successfully released back into the Pacific. A professional dredge was incorporated into the fishing program, adding another dimension to the offshore presentation.

BILLFISH MORNING OFF CABO SAN LUCAS
Catching either species can become the highlight of a Cabo fishing vacation. Encountering both during the same morning gave this group two very different examples of the billfish action available around southern Baja.
Blue marlin are recognized for their strength, acceleration and powerful offshore runs. Sailfish bring a different style of excitement, combining speed with spectacular surface action. Releasing both fish completed a morning focused entirely on sportfishing.
WHY THIS CABO CHARTER STOOD OUT
• Two billfish species caught during one charter
• Both game fish successfully released
• Six-hour private fishing experience
• Professional dredge fishing presentation
• Experienced local captain aboard a 35-foot Riviera
A MORNING BUILT AROUND CABO BILLFISH
Captain Oscar and the Blue Water crew gave Will, Chase, Gaines and Bill a concentrated six-hour window to experience Cabo's offshore fishery without committing to a full eight- or ten-hour day.
For anglers researching Cabo marlin fishing, sailfish charters, private sportfishing or a morning fishing trip in Cabo San Lucas, this charter provides a strong example of what makes the destination so appealing. Conditions and catches change every day, but the possibility of encountering powerful pelagic species remains part of the attraction.
Two billfish, two successful releases and four anglers from Texas made this a Cabo fishing morning worth remembering.
